Amber Molnar is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMF 91867), under the supervision of Bryana Kappadakunnel (LMFT 90464). She specializes in Maternal Mental Health and Infertility. Her areas of focus range from conception through Postpartum. Amber enjoys helping expecting and new moms process and work through issues that may arise when having children. Utilizing a combination of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Amber hopes to help her clients address any issues that come up in a safe and calming space. Her overall goal is for parents to feel more grounded, self aware and empowered to be the parent that they envisioned they would be. Amber also loves working with children infants to adolescents. She incorporates Play Therapy where children can learn to better self regulate, utilize coping skills and learn tools to facilitate self-expression. Amber additionally is a Mommy and Me Facilitator at South Bay Mommy and Me in Redondo Beach, where she specializes in Twin Mommy and Me Classes. She also leads the Postpartum Support Group and offers workshops on infertility.
Education & Training
Amber received her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She began her traineeship at CLARE Foundation where she provided individual and family therapy to clients with addiction and mental health issues. She also ran several groups such as; Seeking Safety, Mindfulness, Healthy Relationships and Anger Management. She continued to her postgraduate training at Sovereign Health where she was part of a comprehensive team of psychiatrists, psychologists and nurses to provide psychotherapy for dual diagnosis clients. Amber continued her training at Hirschman Clinical Services where she provided psychotherapy to individuals and couples dealing with Infertility and Maternal Mental Health. Amber is a graduate of Postpartum Action Institute and holds a certificate in Maternal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International where she is also a member.
Amber’s passion for specializing in maternal mental health developed after her own experiences with infertility and becoming a mother. She believes that it truly does take a village when having children, and hopes to offer a supportive and non- judgmental space during this time. In addition to psychotherapy, Amber is the Los Angeles Associate for Twin Love Concierge where she teaches monthly classes on Expecting Multiples.
